University Health at the Linwood Y is a 7,000 square foot clinic serving YMCA members and those in the surrounding community. Providers at the clinic are able to refer people to YMCA programs to help them manage their conditions. The goal is to reduce and manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure to create a healthier more physically active Kansas City. This clinic has the potential to become a national model for community-based population health.

Zaheer Ahmed, MD

Zaheer Ahmed, MD

Dr Ahmed is a board-certified internal medicine specialist. He attended medical school in his native Pakistan, at the University of Health Sciences in Lahore. He completed medical and surgical internships at Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur and a residency at Truman Medical Center. He is an assistant professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Medicine.
Kristin Gillenwater, DO

Kristin Gillenwater, DO

Dr. Gillenwater is an associate program director and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Medicine. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Her special interests are preventative medicine and health literacy.
Kavita Jadhav, MD

Kavita Jadhav, MD

Dr Jadhav is a board-certified internal medicine specialist and is board-eligible in geriatric medicine. She received her medical degree from the Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s Medical College in Navi Mumbai, India, and completed a residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital.
Monica Katamura, MD

Monica Katamura, MD

Dr. Katamura is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible in internal medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine and completed a residency at the Tulane University Med-Peds Residency Program.
Camille Williams, APRN

Camille Williams, APRN

As a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Williams is prepared by education and certification to assess, diagnose, and manage patient problems, order tests, and prescribe medications.
