Your First Step to Better Hearing

Audiology Overview

  • Overview

“Kansas Hearing loss can make life hard. Happy times with friends and family become exhausting as you strain to hear and understand speech. Left untreated, hearing loss can lead to isolation and depression. The University Health Audiology Clinic is your first step to better hearing. We provide diagnostic hearing services to adults, including tests for both pure tones and speech. We also offer impedance audiometry, which assesses the middle ear function.

We work directly with the University Health Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Clinic so you can be seen there, if needed, the same day as your hearing test. Our audiologist is able to interpret the findings from the test(s) and will make same-day recommendations for further treatment with the ENT physicians.

To see an audiologist at University Health, you will need a referral from your doctor. We will stay in communication with your doctor about the results of your test. Recommendations are sent back to the referring sites to ensure prompt feedback to referring providers. To schedule an appointment please call 816-404-2760.
