  • Chronic Otitis

    “Kansas Otitis media refers to inflammation of the middle ear. When infection occurs, the condition is called "acute otitis media" resulting in earache and swelling.

  • Chronic Sinus

    “Kansas Sinusitis is a common condition in which the cavities around nasal passages (sinuses) become inflamed and swollen for at least eight weeks.

    “Kansas The Head and Neck Surgery Clinic can find and treat cancers of the larynx, tonsil, oropharynx, nasopharynx, hypopharynx, thyroid, parathyroid, epiglottis and surrounding areas.

    After surgery, we coordinate your care with areas including oncology, dental support, radiation therapy, oral and maxillofacial surgery, social services, and nutritional and speech therapy.

    Our patients are often at high risk for head and neck malignancies, or at risk for recurrence of their head and neck cancer.

    “Kansas Hoarseness is a symptom and not a disease. It is a general term that describes abnormal voice changes. It can be caused by common cold or upper respiratory tract viral infection, acid reflux, allergies or smoking.

  • Nasal Polyps

    “Kansas Nasal polyps are soft, painless, noncancerous growths on the lining of nasal passages or sinuses. They result from chronic inflammation due to asthma, recurring infection, allergies, drug sensitivity or certain immune disorders.

  • Sleep Apnea

    “Kansas Obstructive sleep apnea requiring surgical intervention (i.e. tonsillectomy or tracheostomy). Tracheostomy patients have care coordinated with Home Health Nursing and Social Services. Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. You may have sleep apnea if you snore loudly and you feel tired even after a full night's sleep.

  • Tinnitus/Vertigo

    “Kansas Tinnitus is abnormal noise perceived in one or both ears or in the head. Vertigo is a sense of rotation, rocking, or spinning, experienced even when someone is perfectly still.

  • Tympanic Membrane

    “Kansas Tympanic Membrane Perforation (TMP) is a hole or tear in your eardrum, the thin tissue that separates your ear canal from your middle ear. A ruptured eardrum can result in hearing loss and can also make your middle ear vulnerable to infections or injury.

  • Dr. Beahm

    David Beahm, MD is board-certified in otolaryngology. He received his medical degree from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine and completed a surgical internship and an otolaryngology residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He completed a fellowship in rhinology and base skull surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.

  • Dr. Lin

    Dr. James Lin, MD is board-certified in otolaryngology, with a sub-certification in neurotology. He received his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College and completed an internship and residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and a clinical fellowship at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.

    “Kansas Dr. Ann Robinson, MD is board-certified in otolaryngology. She received her medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed a surgical internship at UMKC and a residency at KU Medical Center.
